Relevant Experience
Following 15 years experience as an analytical chemist in the printing industry (finally as Chief Chemist), Bill has now over 25 years experience as a consultant in the asbestos industry, with extensive contacts in all areas of the regulatory, professional and accreditation bodies. While managing the Casella Asbestos Consultancy, he was responsible for quality matters, including developing the quality management system to EN 45001 (now ISO 17025), development of internal proficiency testing schemes and administration of audits and reviews.
He is the author of ‘Asbestos for Surveyors’ published by Estate Gazette Books, which is one the leading publications on asbestos.
He now specialises in training courses (predominantly for asbestos), both for recognised qualifications through BOHS and other tailored courses as required by a range of clients in all industry sectors, both public and private.
He has extensive experience as a member and contributor to various industry bodies including HSE, UKAS and BOHS and been involved in working groups publishing standards and guidance associated with the asbestos industry.
