Relevant Experience
For 30 years David has been running an independent firm of consulting engineers specialising in problem solving. Much of this work has involved liaising with Loss Adjusters and insurance companies in establishing the cause of structural problems and devising the most cost effective scheme of remedial works.
This type of work frequently requires a good analytical mind and a very flexible approach to the preparation of repair schemes. David’s initial experience of detailed understanding of structural behaviour has proved invaluable in analysing the way structures have reacted to the effects of subsidence, fire or impact damage. He has earned a reputation for quickly establishing the true cause of problems, which is the essential first stage in providing solutions which not only solve the problem but minimise the outlay for clients.
David has also carried out hundreds of structural surveys for house purchasers, often to allay the fears of building societies and insurance companies where there is evidence of historic movement or signs of suspected subsidence.
