John Henry brings both Project Management and Business Management experience at Director Level, gained across large and small consultancies and contracting organisations, providing consulting expertise to multinational corporations and governments; as well as extensive and detailed technical and project management of environmental engineering projects and environmental management consultancy in over 24 countries.

His technical expertise includes sustainability, climate change and GHG emissions management, process design, waste minimisation, ISO 14001, atmospheric assessment, preparing Environmental Statements and Strategic EA Reports, and advising industry and government on environmental policy issues, including risk and resource use management and indicator specification; as well as Project Management approaches.

His industry sector experience includes National and Local Government Ministries and Agencies, pharmaceutical plants; chemical plants; ports; rail projects; waste water treatment works; waste minimisation, management and disposal strategies including incineration; canal restoration projects; refineries; gas plants; roads, new and motorway widening schemes; renewable, gas, coal, nuclear, geothermal and hydroelectric power stations; airports; and food facilities.

Jim Goddard is the Technical Manager for Birmingham City Council's Building Consultancy department the largest Building Control Department in Europe.

Jim has worked in the building industry for 37 years, and all but 3 years being spent in Local Authority Building Control and has accumulated a vast depth of knowledge in building control and other aspects of the building industry during that time.

Starting his career as a Trainee Design Draughtsman at Crittal-Hope in Smethwick he quickly realised that the drawing board was not going to be part of his future. He moved to and spent 5 years at Wolverhampton MBC as a Building Control Officer before moving up to Dudley MBC as a Senior Building Control Officer for a further 6 years.

In 1984 Jim moved on again to Birmingham City Council as a Senior BCO quickly being promoted to Assistant Manager for one of the 3 teams and then on to Technical Manager for the organisation. Over the past 22 years he has gained an enormous amount of experience in the building control field on projects large and small.

Sitting on British Standards committees over the years has enabled him to be at the forefront of new construction related legislation.

Jim presently as Technical Manager has a very wide and varied workload, including hands-on supervision of large building projects, high-rise developments, shopping centres and Grade 1 listed building projects, training of new staff and developing existing staff, local and nation seminar presentations, keeping up to date with the latest legislation and technical issues as well as presenting technical advice to other city departments.

Keith is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Arbitrator, Panel djudicator, Accredited Mediator and visiting lecturer in Construction Law at a number of Universities in the UK and Europe.

Previously in private practice, Keith gained construction project experience which includes residential accommodation, multi-storey offices, education, healthcare and public buildings, military installations, commercial and industrial developments and engineering installations.

He has Expert Witness and Single Joint Expert Witness experience in civil disputes and criminal cases; instructions include Building Defects, Quantum, Contract Administration and Professional Negligence cases and has given evidence in court.

He has a good working knowledge of standard forms of main and sub-contract construction contract conditions and lectures regularly on construction law matters at several Universities and to other public and private bodies.

Keith is experienced in all forms of dispute resolution, with extensive experience of adjudication as well as carrying out both time limited and full mediations across the country.
