Property & Development Courses
It is increasingly recognised that consideration of a project and its effectiveness should not simply relate to the construction phase, but should be viewed as the performance of the property asset over its complete lifecycle. Issues such as development and planning strategies, building condition surveys, maintenance and repairs all come into the equation. So it is important that those working in the property sector have the relevant range of skills to deliver their role effectively.
Construction Study Centre have been providing high quality training for over twenty years and in that time we have built up a portfolio of trainers and courses that can benefit professionals from the Property and Development sectors as well as construction.
From Property Law, to Planning, to Surveys we can give your team a competitive edge in your field. Browse the courses below or try our search box in the top right corner to find the right course. Need more help? Give us a call on 0845 313 3414.

• With consistently more than 30,000 annual cases of subsidence damage to low rise buildings notified to building insurers, and with double that in peak years, no building professional can afford to be without a working knowledge of the identification of subsidence and diagnosis of its cause, especially the particular subsidence risks associated with nearby trees on shrinkable clay subsoils.
• This RECENTLY REVISED 1 DAY COURSE will focus on these aspects but include other common causes of cracking in low rise buildings.
• A resume of the legal background to responsibility for tree related damage to buildings will be covered to assist those who are either contemplating recovery of the costs of repair or defending claims made against them.

Making the property recession work for you – assessing viable sites and developments
Category: Development and Procurement
• This BRAND NEW 1 DAY COURSE will appeal to all who have an interest in putting viable development sites together in ‘a period of quiet reflection’ (AKA a recession).
• It is generally accepted that we are in the worst property market and recession since the 1930’s BUT, managed properly, this can be a period of consolidation and preparation for the inevitable ‘bounce back’.
• Developers, Local Authories and Land Owners can use this time to assemble sites and prepare development ready for the return of the market. Sites which are ‘oven ready’ for the right market sectors will be first to get the end user/finance and will thus be the first to get the cream of pent up demand.
• History shows that those who wait and start late are often left with the crumbs.
