Info: Alan is a Director of Impact Fire Ltd, an ISO 9001 accredited fire safety consultancy whose clients include: The Metropolitan Police, The British Museum, Luminar Leisure, Kier, London Borough of Hackney, London Borough of Bexley and many other highly respected organisations. He has been a Home Office Fire Advisor, and in that role represented the Home Office on the committee responsible for a guidance document to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and drafted the fire safety design guide for Police Custody Suites. He has an excellent knowledge of fire safety legislation and its application, and has a highly effective and popular teaching style. New to 2009: The new British Standard BS 9999 replaces all other British Standards relating to Fire Safety design with effect from spring 09 and the document has already been issued.
