Jim Crooks spent the first 10 years of his career as a chartered civil engineer and building contractor. He funded and gained an MBA in his middle years and went into the then innovative forms of procurement including construction management and design and build.
He spent several years in client organisations at a senior level before moving into professional practice as a project manager.
In the mid 1990’s he was involved in the introduction of the CDM Regulations and has maintained a close interest in health and safety throughout his career. Four years ago he decided to consolidate his legal contractual experience by gaining an MSc from Kings College, London in arbitration and construction law.
He has been involved on a wide range of types of buildings and projects. He has been a project director in Buro Four Project Services for 10 years and current clients include the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Royal Mail.
